Boring zombie virus?
4 of 5 my characters died because of zombie virus. And their dying were very long and annoying. First they were scratched then cured then suddenly came nausea and panic. And for a couple long days everything got worse VERY slowly. Sure this is necessary for roleplay but does it really should work this way? What should I do if I know what will happen from the very beginning? Same scenario, no chance to survive. Boring. What if developers could add a tiny chance to survive even zombie virus? Little hope for miracle could relieve waiting for destiny.

You have a tiny chance to survive the infection.

Is it really so? I couldn't find any information about this on Internet. I was told that virus can't be cured or survived. Proof from http://projectzomboid.wikia.com: "True zombie infection will not stop draining health and will continuously intensify over time. There is currently no chance to cure the infection and no known survivors of the bite."

You could always cheese it and backup your save game. If you get bitten or scratched try and make it through it but if you die simply reload the game. Just make sure you delete the old save before you paste the backup over it as some things won't change if you don't. For example stuff taken from containers will stay gone even if you backup your game.

Well, speaking honestly, you have about a 4% chance of not being infected from a bite, and about 25% a chance of not being infected from a scratch. If you do get infected though, aside from constantly eating and resting, you'll not survive long. We're talking about the end of the world here. ;)

if you go to sandbox you can customize the infection scenario, you can make the infection not spread at all, have you be already infected walking dead style, or have the saliva scratch/ transmission.

you can survive a scratch, its 1/4 chance as gonzo told you, I never survived a bite, once it gets to that level I shot myself in the head, but talking about scratches here, in one of my gameplays I survived 3 scratches, died on the fourth, however, I play with sprinters and its not hard for them to kill you if you are not careful, those 4 scratches happened in the span of 10 in-game days.

if you want, there is a mod that gives the game an anti-zombification cocktail to craft, which has a chance to save you, it is very hard to make, and it has many possible dangerous side efects and a chance to kill you instantly, however, the option is still there, and its a nice addition in my view.

more than that, if you use the cheat mod from the workshop you can cure yourself of the infection instantly, then disable the mod with a hotkey adn resume playing.

I will link both mods for you.

Sandbox mode. Make the game play the way you want it to.

I have died hundreds or thousands of times... never once survived a bite...this is propaganda! When I looked into it the people who decipher code claimed that the linear algebra damn near guranteees the bite means death.
