Can graves be reused?
Dug a whole bunch of them to store the zombies lol

Do the corpses decay and hence become empty after some time? :D

You can fit up to five bodies in a grave but once you cover it that's it. Whether it's one body or five once you cover the grave it can't be redug up so far as I know

if you put a corpse in any container (crate, locker, oven, refrigerator, car seat) and wait long enough the corpse will still be there, but if you remove it, it'll vanish. this is how I usually clear out my safehouse. put the zombies in random containers, wait a few days, then remove them and they're gone. You can do this with graves too, as long as you don't cover the grave. Just put in the zombies and then take them out after about a week. They'll disappear.

Ooh nice tactic :D

It easier just throw them somewhere outside the negative effect range.

I just pile them on top of a campfire. I check all the bodies for anything useful and rip the clothes for a crap ton of tailoring materials. Then I use a useless notebook or something to light the fire and burn them all. You can use a Trowel to remove the Ash

If enabled in sandbox settings, you can dump the corpses is garbage containers and click delete.
Or just burn them, like Quill suggested. Just don't try to drop corpses on already burning campfire.

BUT! IF you filled up the grave, take out the sledge and destroy the grave. Now they are all gone, and you should be able to make a new grave and refill it;)
(well it used to work, not sure if it still does.)

There's a mod on the multiplayer server I use to turn corpses into small amounts of fuel, albeit with some other ingredients. Useful since the gas stations are all empty. Bodies got thin on the ground after that was introduced...

My method was usually building a corner out of wood frames, with gas & lighter, seems like it helped when you couldn't exactly get the correct spot each time with the campfire method. Think it was Hydrocraft that let you turn corpses into charcoal, which was also needed for various other recipes the mod brought in.
