Two entrances, fully blocked by a wall. Sleep once, wake up attacked by Zs.I did run near the two entrances to check them before I die; Still up and not damaged.
I did the wall right before sleeping and it's damn close so it's not like z would respawn or move on the overmap while I sleep.
I think the game rarely fail to recognise a wall for pathing purpose when outside of the field of view/sleeping.
(I wasn't using door, only wall)
I do not have any advice solving this tho, the second time I tried, zombie couldn't get in (and I did the same wall).
it got super wonky. zombies on the first floor could just walk and suddenly teleport to the 2nd floor, even though there were NO stairs. They behaved like they were walking up invisible stairs. I removed all the floors, it stopped.
Also, when standing on those floors over where the stairs has been, my character experienced weather like they were outside the building. got cold from snow, wet from rain. I heard outdoors noises unmuffled (birds, etc) after removing the floors, it stopped.
So this pattern won't stop zombies from crawling through a window?

Where B=brick, W=window, C=crate, X=void

this pattern won't stop them too.
If you want to block a windows, you need to either barricade it, destroy the windows/wall with a sledge and rebuild a wall, or build 3 wall around either tile next to the window on either side.

Hand made player construction can be destroyed tho, so if they hear some noise and try to investigate they can slam on it and destroy it. But at least if your best to close by you will wake up from the noise and have some time to prepare or walk around and kill them.
Side note, it's more convenient to barricade it from the inside but you could do it botrh side, up to 4 plank each side (stop at 2 planks each side if you still want to see trough the window)

B= Brick wall, W=Window, C=Crate, V=Void outdoor space
So 7 crates to block access to one window. Might be able to do it with 5, but the extra width should ensure no entry, to an unboarded window if player construction cannot be destroyed is set in your sandbox settings.

Then you only need one crate.

( Or 3 crates if you have a flat wall like in my previous post)
You (or a zombie, it's the same) cannot path in a diagonal.
