box o clips
so i opened a box a paperclips to make a new fishing hook and was very frustrated to discover that the 40 clips that came out each weigh .1? while the whole box only weighs .4??? it was frustrating because opening it up put me over max weight, and i couldnt even put them all i my backpack because they take up SO much more room when loose than in a box. personally its kinda silly that you cant keep them in a box and take out one at a time, but its totally rediculous how much more they weigh outside the box than in. luckly i had just seen a lone paperclip near by, and was able to find it and remake the box to save weight... im guess nails and screws will have the same issue. used to be some objects essentially weighed nothing, and i thought paperclips and nails were like that... they didnt litteraly weigh nothing, but less than .1... i mean, a paper clip weighs a hell of a lot less than a comic book right? 40 paper clips do not weigh 4 lbs!

Its not pounds.

Its weight and encumberance of trying to 'hold' the item individually.

And I am not disagreeing you that a fix should be implemented so an individual clip no longer weighs so much.

i get that its not actual weight, but rather encumbrance, but either way, its broken. for example a box of nails still pops out 100 nails, each of which weighs 0.0 (which is probably more like 0.03 or something because put enough of them and it DOES start to add up)... now, last i checked it was at least as easy to cary around paper clips as it is nails, and if anything nails are heavier (and bulkier, and pointer, and usually longer) than paperclips... and it really doesnt make ANY sense that opening a box of something would mean that what comes out of said box suddenly doesnt fit in your bag anymore. i could MAYBE see it not fitting ALL of it (a box maybe organizes it better so it fits more easily (like folding laundry to make it fit better)), but as it is, you can litteraly only store 4 paperclips where a whole box of 40 paper clips used to fit... there is no way of looking at this (mass or volume) in which this makes even a tiny ammount of sense...

Yeah, .1 was a bit too much for those paperclip :D

Changed them like the nails: 0.003 (which may be too low though.. Meh.) (for the next build 35.20 in IWBUMS)

Thank you. This was a much needed little fix.

excellent! does this mean it is fixed in IWBUMS now and will be in the next stable release? or will we have to wait longer for the fix in stable?

"for the next build 35.20 in IWBUMS"
That means the 'next' patch in IWBUMS. That does not mean its in the existing patch. Stable will have to wait until IWBUMS is in good enough condition for the masses who don't want bugs. That could be some time from now.

sigh... bummer. so i guess ill just have to keep clips in boxes and use lose nails for my fishing hooks until then.
