Found a 1000 Storage Trailer for the Truck
Hi, i installed the 82 Oshkosh M911 Truck mod and found a 1000 Storage Trailer for it isn’t that a bit over the top?
I could literally use the truck and trailer as a mobile base lol…

I mean logically you would be able to use it as a mobile base irl if you wanted to. I had that mod for a while but realized how op it was for the type of playstyle I play.

you say its a little over the top, yet your wont uninstall it. sort of hyprocritical, but its not as over the top as you think when you realize how much an item weighs ingame. Everything seems to use kg, 1kg = 2lbs. that means that carries about 1 ton of cargo if this really is the case, so why should my truck only ever carry 60kg? An adverage person weighs 77kg and i know for a fact i can fit more than that in the back of a truck.

I think equating it to weight specifically doesn't work, I see it more as an encumbrance, this is why we have "Weight reduction" bags. It would make no sense that a 10 lb item suddenly weighs less just because I put it in a backpack, or that a bunch of seeds somehow weigh less when put into a small paper container. It's more that things like the backpack distributes the weight better across your body so it's less of pain to carry around.

It also allows us to otherwise carry things we'd have no chance of carrying - like the antique stoves - which usually weight about 300 lbs/136 kg

I'm not too fond of mods that make things easy. The fun wears off pretty fast. Like I just got my hands on a backpack with capacity 49 (some kind of scuba thing?) from the brita mod and while it's cool, it's definitely inching towards broken.

I mean it's a military vehicle. Military stuff is heavy. Also rare.

It took me awhile to find a M35A2 Truck that was in half decent shape to run and it only carries 850

it's always hard, and I imagine a lot has to do with playstyle. On one hand I can see how being able to carry tons of supplies when going on a supply run is very strong... on the flip side once I've done a bit of clearing of an area and I'm just making trips back and forth from my base with supplies, all the extra capacity does is reduce tediousness. So definitely a thin line.

909kgs of space and it's still not enough to store my panty collection. I'm going to need a trailer that attaches to the trailer at this rate...

I did not install it to beginn with, dont need that op stuff in my game. I seen it in the workshop, thought about it but then i read the text,... nope i skip that one.
I would wish there would be a version that fit to vanillla game.

You should all lighten up you taking games to seriously and making it unnecessary hard for you and for what exactly so that you can brag about it??

It's not bragging, also most people play this in SP.

Is about keeping the game entertaining. Once you master the game, if you get self-sufficient fast and without challenge, it gets boring quickly.

Making the game harder keeps the fun. For example, I tried Britta recently and got bored of the run only after 1 month.

I‘m much better than you in Zomboid

Well, maybe there are some exceptions.

You are correct. Carry weight is not any actual weight measurement, but is actually a combination of weight and size. Something small but super heavy can have the same "weight" as something large but light. So yeah, encumbrance is a good description of it.

Dude that’s 1000 Storage + 110 Storage space from the Truck i could literally store my entire Base inside

Mods are typically not very well balanced or immersive. You could of course talk to the creator of the mod and see what their thoughts are.

But this is generally the tradeoff.
