How to start a new world in Multiplayer?
Me and 3 others are new to the game, my friend is the host. But we want to start a new world because we've been dying quite frequently but Days in Project Zomboid keeps going on. It feels like we're gonna get screwed if we die again and then when we spawn there's no more running electricity and water, or it's Winter. Earlier I spawned fresh and the helicopter was right ontop of me.

Set up a new world ingame, set the settings for the world so that the electricity and water cuts off after 6 months, set the zombie count to low.

Then my advice to you all is try fixing up some cars, that will tach you about the way mechanics works ingame.
Try building some wooden walls or crates, this will teach you abot carpentry.

Try creating some metal lockers, that will teach you about metalworking.

Try creating characters with different traits to get a sense/feeling for what each trait actually does, how much you notice it etc.

Also, rule of thumb, dealing with zombies seems really easy imo if you pick the athletic skill, the more levels your character has in fitness and strength the more of a joke the zombies are.

Just ask yourselves what you need to learn or do in order to fix up a car, create lockers etc.
You'll learn a ♥♥♥♥ ton about the game really quickly if you do that.

Regarding combat:
Don't take on hordes.
Try to lure one or a few zombies to you at a time, then back away until you're only dealing with one, then press space to push it until it falls over, then press space to stomp it or use a weapon to oof it.

6 months is too much I think, we're fine with the normal one.

Thanks alot for these tips, we just got an idea where we have a 5 lives system collectively (if someone dies then we're all down 4 lives etc) and when the 5 lives are gone we start a new world. I think it's better that way so we avoid snowballing into bad situations like spawning at winter or with helis or no electricity/water.

The 6 month part is a personal preference, it's your choice.
It'll just make things easier for you all whilst you're learning the game.

Le me know if you're ever interested in a new person to play with.
