2. You wouldn't really need antibiotics for a wound infection. Wounds infections aren't dangerous, pretty sure it's just reduced heal speed.
3. Nah antibiotics won't slow it down, I think your best bet for delaying the inevitable is constantly keeping yourself well fed to slow health loss.
If you have the hypochondriac trait, you sometimes shows sympy without the infection.
Also, dieing due to zedification takes time, depends on your settings.
To OP:
For wound infection, it's usually not lethal, you don't even need to take ABs. Iirc back in prev versions AB helped to fight this infection faster. Didn't tried in current version, it's just to ez to cure it . Wash yourself and your clothes regularly, don't go sleep blood soaked, keep your bandages clean, and eat well. You should fight it off within 1-2 days.
Yes, you can find your stumbling, volatile character still around, but your stats will be back to base. GL
If you are sure / you think you'll die, and turn into zed, place all your important keys (car keys), and your most valuable items in a container in your house. Sometimes your old char wandering away, and it's takes long time to track and hunt yourself.
Or... If you 120% sure you will die, lock & barricade yourself in a room, drink some bleach or make a hard party (whiskey + painkillers) and wait the end.
"which is not a trait" by the way and the heart keeps shakin all the time but i seem to have 95% health and im ok now im hot a lot cause 1st of june and ♥♥♥♥ soo yeah might just been a normal infection!?
But zombification can also take longer if you changed it in the settings. If you really want to know what going on then load the game in debug mode.
Hard to say this, but begin the preparations. Im not advising to commit suicide (bc maybe I'm wrong, and you are not infested), but placing your car keys and valuables won't hurt.
- Rapid Temperature rise -> 1 - 4 hours:
- Anxiety -> 5 - 12 hours:
- Queasy, + slight health loss -> 13 - 24 hours
- Nauseous, Pain, Fear, increasing health loss -> 25 - 48 hours
- Sick, Pain, Panic, Severe Injury, severe health loss -> 49 - 71 hours
- Fever, more rapid Terminal damage -> 72 hours
- Death, Zombified
There is no cure.Anxiety can show up after a traumatic event - particularly if your character gets jumped scared by a zombie appearing in their blindspot. It might manifest as nightmares. It should go away by itself, but treat it like sadness (watch tv/vhs, read books etc).
High temperature shows up by itself when caused by simply being exposed to too much heat and will progress through:
Unpleasantly Hot -> Overheated > Sunstruck -> Hyperthermic
https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Moodles#Hyperthermia
And can be cured very quickly by removing clothing layers and or wetting your clothes.
Queasy will show up if you have eaten raw/rotten/burnt food or if you have been out for long periods in thunderstorms or worn wet clothing during low temperatures. Or have been hanging out around corpse flies
Queasy -> Nauseous -> Sick -> Fever
https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Moodles#Sick
High Temperature icon will show up from Sick onwards - this is the main tell that it's not the Big Zed.
The game will give you more information if you level First Aid, At low levels your character won't be able to read the symptoms that you can see in the diagnosis UI so you need to think for them.- Fatiguing your character will worsen things
Both food poisoning and corpse fly based sickness will ravage your health and take a while to recover from, but if you try to follow the fatigue/tiredness icons game allowing of course, it shouldn't be fatal and should leave you with health around 20%.
For food related illness you should forage for Lemon Grass, eat lightly and keep hydrated. For flu you need to rest as much as you can, sleeping tablets can help, but simply sitting on the ground near a good bed and opting for "Rest" when you can't sleep is also a viable strategy
