Multiplayer and mods
1. Sorry if this was asked before, but if I have mods, should my friend subscribe to them as well if I'm the host?
2. Is there any way to host a game without mods while my mod list stay intact? What I mean I never hosted a server until today, but I'm playing with mods generally. For our first time I tried to start a server without mods just to check if it is even working for us. In options of server I found tab with mods, I didn't put anything in it, but when I tried to create server, there was an error something like "mod x is not included on this server". So I disabled all mods manually in my mod list then created server without mods and only then I joined the game and my friend got connected as well. It pretty troublesome considering I don't always remember what mods I've been using. So can I somehow get around this situation?

P.S. Sorry for my english.

1. Your friend should be able to download your mods when he is trying to connect, have him subscribe to your mods just to be safe.
2. Uhm, your hosted servers aren't affected by your singleplayer modlist at all, in order to add mods onto a server go into a tab called "STEAM WORKSHOP" when editing a server's preset and add your mods.
The message about "mod x not included on the server" is likely due to protect against modded players on vanilla servers.
You shouldn't enable any mods in the modlist from the main menu, ALWAYS enable mods via the NEW GAME menu if playing singleplayer.

Thanks!
About 2nd point. Yeah, I thought so. When I was browsing through option during server creation I found two tabs - mods I have and mods from workshop (which I can add by ID or something). I left both tabs empty. And when I tried to start my server I guess because I automatically was connecting to my own server I got this error because, again as I can guess, I was connecting to my server like any other player would.
Okay, I think I got this, thanks for your tips. Didn't know you could enable mods at NEW GAME.

One more question if you may. What about server size? Do you have any recommendations? I've seen 10 GB, but I will play only with my one friend, so should I use 10 or less (or more?)

If I remember correctly, 4-6GB is minimum and +500mb per player. But just for 2 players 4-6GB will be enough.
It really depends on how much ram you have, and it's also pretty much your choice.

Alright, thanks. I have 16 GB, I'll put 1 extra just for sure. So 7 it will be. Many thanks!
