How to put in a car a water dispenser?

I got a van where to put my water dispenser in, but the real problem is that I don't fine what is the option which lets me put it in the car. Is it when I am in the vehicle and I press V or when I am outside and I click on the van with the right click?

You picked it up with the pick up tool.
now it is an item in your inventory.
open trunk or a door or get in the car.
drag and drop item from your inventory to the seat or trunk.
Note: a trunk might hold more than just the dispenser, but a seat will only allow just the dispenser.
you put it in a car the same way you would put a carrot or a sledgehammer into a car.

You take it out of a car and use the place tool to put it on the ground to use it.
if it is in your pockets, you can right click a ground or floor tile to place it.

You can't drink from it if it is in a car, or your pocket.
