When you hear the flies, that's mean you are risking to get disease from rotting corpses.
This has happened to me a few times now as well - getting a fever and dying within less than 24 hours (not related to zombie infection).
This last time, I even used a mod to spawn me antibiotics, painkillers, and sleeping tablets - I still died... in my kitchen...loaded with food, water, and pills. I also use the dynamic traits mod. I had originally taken underweight as well, but after a whole month of carb-loading I overcame this trait.
I am super frustrated. This happens kind of at random. This time I was exercising inside, got a little soaked, and died by the next morning. The medication did nothing to help it, so what am I supposed to do to overcome a fever? I even cheated to survive, with no avail.
this death was just so random i had to recheck everything i knew about this moodle to make sure i wasnt missing anything and still came up with nothing.
ah i see i thought only an infection kills. thanks!
So just to bring this topic up again because i have experienced the same, but I can say that I was bitten earlier and successfully healed.
So it means, if you got bitten you will inevitably die anyway, correct ? That would explain a lot...
Bite is 100% zombification. Scratch is 7%, and laceration 25%.
I was always under that impression.
