What does population peak day mean?

no npcs. peak day is the day set for maximizing zombie respawn. the peak day setting defines when it is (how many days after start) and the multiplier affects how many more (or less) zombies respawn after that. It takes the place of the starting multiplier for zombie respawn

How about when you disable respawn??

Even with respawn disabled, zombies will still keep spawning if you set population peak to anything other than day 1.

Hmm ok, so if i set population to 4.0 and leave pop peak at day 1 i will have huge amounts of zombies roaming!?

Depends on the population peak multiplier. You can have, as already mentioned, a 16 time increased zombie population (4 x 4). That would mean hundreds of zombies everywhere. Just play around with the sandbox setting until you find something you like.

But that means my custom amount X will be present at day 1 if i dont wish to have respawning zombies?

It's really simple. If you set population peak to day 10 then new zombies will spawn until day 10. If you set it to day 1 then all zombies will be there right from the start.

Sorry if I was misleading or not clear enough. They will spawn only until the population peak is reached if respawns are disabled.

If you set population peak to day 1 and disable respawn you will have a set amount of zombies and they will indeed not come back. There will be some wandering though, which can look like they respawned.

kk and if i set pop peak to say day 25 and i disable respawn will i still have a set amount of

Sounds about right. And should it not play out the way you like can you change the settings retroactively. Zombies that already spawned will stay though.

So if i set .10 zombies to start with max of 1.0, and zombie peak day is 100, will zombies continually spawn until day 100? or will they all just spawn on day 100?

Zombies will keep spawning until it reaches its default population if your initial population is smaller than the default population multiplier. If I recall, peak population will pop the rest of the population into the game.
