Does grass regrow after being burned?

Well, the title is basically the question
Couldn't find any answers related to this topic
Problem is: I let some meat burn in an oven so I could see how fire spreads in this update (it's been a long time since I last played)
And well, everything burned and it's still burning! I was not expecting that, I did it quite far away from my home and it actually got to burn half my house while I was sleeping, got lucky it didn't spread to second floor I guess lol, all around my house there's burnt grass, boring blackness everywhere so I was wondering if will I ever get green grass outside my home
