Project zomboid is not a casual fps(first person shooter), its a isometric survival game that strives to be realistic(most of the time).
There are other games out there that are battle royale or have that mode in it, not every game in existence has to have a battle royale mode in it, especially when that's not the type that a game tries to be,
An example: Pac-man
its a simple arcade game that is designed to simply entertain for the everyday person, it may not have a battle royale mode but that doesn't mean it should have one just because it would be a cool concept to yourself personally, its not what the developers intend it to be, its their choice.
Same applies with project zomboid, if you think/want there to be battle royale, it doesn't automatically mean that a game should have it or that it would benefit it in anyway, and people come here to play project zomboid for a different type of genre(survival), not the same one that most games are these days(casual FPS, casual games in general that appease to the casual gamer)
if you really want to play battle royale, just play fornite or another AAA title that has battle royale. Not every game has to have battle royale
There's literally a Battle Royale mode for Pac-Man it's called Pac-Man 99..
As a seperate game, yes, but not implemented into the original pacman,
There's a difference with making a separate game and implementing specific genres(like battle royale) into an already excising game with a different genre(project zomboid being a survival game)
The game already functions like a battle royale in regards to players starting out with nothing, so just toss up to 100 players (or more, no clue what this game can handle) into a game, have your typical danger zones or slowly shrinking circle, with helicopters and sprinter zombies active in the restricted zones, etc. There's vehicles to use to get around, and they could probably include meta event airdrops with the military gear and medical supplies / food too. Airdrops already exist in mod form.
Slowly crush players together somewhere. Make them fight it out. Grant them 10 in every skill or something so they're all on even footing, or make it so everyone gets like 20 trait points to spend for some flexibility.
I hate Battle Royale type stuff in general myself, but it could still be a fun mode for those who do enjoy them. I wouldn't expect the developers to actually make it though, clearly too much on their plate already.
Huh?? BR mode is just another survival mode..
Alright. Sorry.
