Also, follow the instructions to a T. Do not manually edit your map_sand.bin file. For me, anyway, it never saves changes and will revert to default world settings if you manually edit it.

you can change a current world's sandbox settings, but it's rather involved. depending on how far in you are, and how much time you wish to spend doing the reset, it may not be worth the effort. Keep in mind that dying in zomboid only really costs you skills. You can still use the same world and go find your zombified version of yourself, kill them, and retain all your gear. If, however, you still wish to go through with changing your settings, here:

It means you are in PvP mode. Press G or the crossed axes under the minimap (you need to hide it first) to toggle this on or off

Thanks for the reply. I thought it means Knox virus infection, my mate had it and then it disappeared. And I thought he managed to cure the virus :steamhappy:

Makes sense to make that connection... IF you find out how to cure it you'll be a hero. They will name Libraries after you.

Yes, technically, drinking bleach will stop you from becoming a zombie.

You could have also just admin'd yourself...it's a cure all...but now you know you can turn off the infection completely and tweak all the sandbox settings to your play style, probably one of the game greatest features.
