What kind of infection? If you get a normal infection just make sure you serilize the wound and keep your bandages clean. Then it will heal.

If you're bitten or scratched so you catch the zombie virus, there is no way to cure it.

It seems that I got infected with the zombie virus, I guess. And it says that I have mild nausea

Yep. Sounds like it. Just enjoy your last 1-2 days alive. Make it count...

If you're talking about 'regular' infected wounds, really you need to disinfect the wound (ideally with "cotton balls doused in alcohol") before it gets infected. Once it's already infected all you can really do is take antibiotics to shorten the duration (they halve the strength of infection).

If you're talking about infection with the zombie virus then the only chemical solution is a bottle of bleach.

There's a mod which gives the player a chance to fight the virus by keeping the moodles positive during the incubation time.
Search on the workshop for Antibodies.

:( So there is no real cure? I can not believe

If you hate the idea of incurable zombie infection, you can run the game in sandbox and change infection mortality to 'never'. That way you can still take damage / bleed out but a bite won't be a death sentence.

There is no way to cure it. As Spiffo said in the tutorial before you get swarmed by massive amounts of zombies.

The lore is based on Romero/Brooks zombies and there was no cure in that lore. As mentioned though, you can turn it off entirely in the sandbox settings.

Can I change the sandbox settings already in the game or not?

Normal Wound Infection: Disinfect the wound with things like Bourbon, Disinfectant, Cotton balls with Disinfectant, Alcohol Wipes, etc

Zombie Infection: :Bleach:. Unless you have a mod to create yourself a cure and they usually take a lot of time and high medical you're going to turn no matter what

I think there may be a mod that allows you to change settings in a game that is already started, but otherwise you will have to just start a new one.

No, you can't. But there are mods in the workshop to make the zombie infection less deadly, maybe using one of those can help if you don't want to lose your character.

you can change a current world's sandbox settings, but it's rather involved. depending on how far in you are, and how much time you wish to spend doing the reset, it may not be worth the effort. Keep in mind that dying in zomboid only really costs you skills. You can still use the same world and go find your zombified version of yourself, kill them, and retain all your gear. If, however, you still wish to go through with changing your settings, here:

Also, for all the people mentioning the mod that lets you change sandbox mid game, I hear it's buggy, and most of the changed settings don't go through. Last I heard. I prefer doing the save method, but whatever works is up to you OP.
EDIT: and as I previously stated it has been possible to keep worlds and change their settings since as early as 2018.
