steam username change

i changed my steam username. when i try to enter my server, i can't play as my previous character, so i have to change steam username back. can i somehow solve this problem? dont want to change nicknames all the time

You can go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid\Saves
Open the server save folder and edit the players.db file with a database editor, there you can change your username to your new one.

i only have map.bin files in server save folder. cant find players.db
