Is there a way to empty gas cans?

Hello.

I found a high quality fuel tank in a non functional car and I want to take it, but it needs to be empty.
I started using gas cans as means of removing fuel, but I ran out of cans (All of them are filled up).

Is there a way to empty the gas cans or the fuel tank?

I frankly find it hard to believe if there isn't as that is a pretty large oversight.

In all honesty, there is no way. You can just circumvent it, by filling up another car with your fueled cans and come back again.

Not sure why you find the need to necro a year old discussion, but this topic is talking about gasoline and not propane. There's no petrol-based blowtorch in vanilla game.

You can pour gas on a corpse pile to burn it, in vanilla. This would be one way of emptying the can.
