Why Pipe bomb Explosion don't effect to zombies?
I try Pipebomb to the Z, but looks like they don't have the Knock animation, so i guessing that they not effect by pipebomb explotion/damage. So i try combat text mod to see they taking damage or not, and the result they don't.

are these bug?
because recently i watch Nurse on youtube she showing pipe bomb still fuction as normal

Youtubers often play on whatever build they had when they started so it could be older. Last I heard, it was a known bug to be fixed in the next update.. whenever that might be.

yeah idk Adding a timer or remote to it might make it do better

I have the sabe doubts about the pipe bomb and I'm gathering info to make a good post in the PZ official forum.
The point is, for me 0,6 Kg of gunpowder should be more effective in game, because wasting 20 units or 2 full boxs of that isn't a easy decision. I say that because during my last gameplay I scrapped a box of 50 .45s making 200 units of gunpowder to use 120 in 6 pipe bombs because I wanted to clean a horde next to my base, but with one miss and 2 hitting then the result was 0 casualties and 2 houses burned while I cold use these 50 rounds to kill more than that and without fire.
So the point is, even near the explosion the zombies didn't seen to get any explosion damage, making me think that 0.6 kg of gunpowder isn't any fair for the price.

Nope they just suck

One of the dev did said they were going to update fire spread hopefully that update also covers molotov and pipebomb

Explosives, especially of the makeshift variety, wouldn't be particularly effective against zombies regardless, given what it takes to put them down. Sure, they'd be mangled and maimed, but only those directly on top of the explosion would have any real chance of being put down for good. So, a bloody mess of crawling zombies afterward, but that would be about the extent of it.

Oh, and lots of attention of other nearby zombies.

I don't know about this. The zeds have decomposing bodies which makes their flesh weak. The impact of an explosion could rupture their brains. I don't think it's to farfetched to think that a bomb could take out enough of the zombie to put it down permanent.

Within the game though, explosives take a lot of gun powder, so I feel it would be fair to have explosions do a decent amount of damage to groups. Being able to put a timer, or an alarm clock on it to attract a large horde and detonate your bomb needs to be justified for the amount of gun powder used. While it might not be exact to it's real life counter parts, I feel like it would add a lot of fun to the game, and give engineers a huge buff which is needed imo.

I imagine this fix will come in a build 42 update as all crafting is getting a spotlight and rework. As it stands now, pipe bombs just light Zeds on fire, an explosion is needed and it would make your trips to Louisville not an auto-death sentence.

Damage they do can be argued due to aim for the head rule but they definitely need to be strong enough to knock down zombies

Currently even if you throw a pipebomb right under a zombies legs all it does is just gently pushing them
