Recover user password

So i cant join back in a friend server with my character since i lost the password, is there any way to reset this password or recover this password?

I'm not sure if the change password command works for other players, since I've never tried it myself. I'd have your friend remove you from the server whitelist, then readd you under the same username and a new password (which essentially resets it). Your save won't be wiped and you'll be able to log in again!

To use any of the commands, your friend needs admin perms. That's self-explanatory.

To remove someone from the whitelist, type: /removeuserfromwhitelist "username"

To add someone to the whitelist, type: /adduser "username" "password"

The quotes matter!

Thank you Max, this answer ended a 2 hour search on how to reset a user's password. The correct command was: removeuserfromwhitelist name

Oh my god it is "removeuserfromwhitelist". 7.2k hours in this game, almost all multiplayer, and I got it wrong. I'm glad it helped, though!!
