You need to pour it into a cooking pot/saucepan, then heat that up

Water bottles (the plastic buckets too) won't ever purify water

Right click the tainted water and it should have a "Pour into" option assuming you have a proper recepticle for it

You need a cooking pot or a saucepan to boil the water (or sterilizing bandages) , maybe a kettle also works?

Edit: damn Jork was faster lol

If you're gonna die, Guzzle that bottle. You might get lucky and not get the poisoning effect, giving you time to seek out a pan to boil water in.

Alternatively, If you've got a lake, pond, river, or rain puddle nearby, drink that instead. It'll make you sick, but, you should recover from it well enough.. Tainted water in a container seems to be more lethal, in my experience.

Bottled tainted water is lethal, drinking out of a puddle or a river isn't. Don't guzzle the bottle!
