Steam Deck Compatibility?
Hey all. Was curious if the devs have mentioned anything about PZ being compatible with the Steam Deck, and if not if there are plans for compatibility in the future.

Check the thursdoid from September 23rd 2021, TPDoid. At the bottom there is a picture of PZ running on a developer unit of Steam Deck.

well, the game is linux native so it most definitely should be playable on the steamdeck and if for some reason you don't wanna play the linux native version proton should work with it as well.

if you look on the storepage of project zomboid and scroll down to system requirements, you will se an option for steamOS and linux, that means it is linux native and of course steamDeck native as well then

if you really wanna see what games are working for now on linux and there for steamDeck you can look them up on
https://www.protondb.com/

my personal experience is that only anti cheat games are the ones we can't play on linux atm, using easy anticheat or battleeye and from the announcements from both epic and steam that is being changed, but only if the game developers them self want to change it.

so basicly, mostly the only games that wont be playable are the multiplayer games that are filled with cheaters xD

Edit: and games from the microsoft store, those probably wont be playable, so just get your games on steam ;)
