Too many mods?
So my server shows up as game version??? and wont show up on list without toggling show wrong versions. but when i cut my mods down to half, it will show up. Is there an issue with servers not showing if there are too many mods, or is there a mod causing this? anyone else experience this?

Same issue. Too many mods combined with server description seems to cause that.
Had to remove description to add a couple more, but I'm confident no more can be added.
Seems like there's a limit on what can be displayed in the server information, combination of description and mods, potentially even server name.

ya, after trying to fix it for hours, it seems with no description you can only fit 6 lines of mods on server listing before it shows wrong version. hopefully enough people have the same issue so they can make a fix. it sucks not having server listed on main page without loosing a ton of mods

Part of the issue is, a lot of authors use obsurdly long mod id's.
Also some mods should offer a full pack of their collection (such as KI5's vehicles), but you can't repack this yourself otherwise mod authors get all upset.
But of course part of the issue is PZ itself for having this weird limitation.

Frustrating to run a server when you're powerless to do anything to fix it in the meantime, and that includes version control for mod updates.

any workaround for this? we have around 80-90 mods and we hit the character limit on the server browser, shows ??? for game version and shows whitelisted

Some people are also putting special chars like ! in mod ids and file paths, which is a really, really bad idea.

We're using maybe 90 ish, but yeah, does seem like the issue is more character limitations than quantity. Description seems to also be a factor, not sure about the server name itself.

I'd like to see in future that perhaps it's changed in a way to click "Show More" to alleviate the issue (benefit is making the server that's visible more compact) rather than an imposed character limit.

The only workaround to this has been contacting mod authors to pack their mods into one, and thankfully a good few have accepted (some of which had quite long mod id's).
It's not a great solution though cause I have to check the mods to ensure they're up to date, but on the plus side pretty much all but one don't update all that often.

Very appreciative of the mod authors that allowed me to repack them, suppose it's not too hard to condense some down given 90 ish mods, good few are bound to be fine with it.

Same here

There shouldn't be such a restriction, and I also agree that more options to show should be added

Yes, there is such a problem with the display. Would like this to be fixed in the very near future, because the game is empty of content, and mods can solve all problems until updates are released.

I believe its approximately 1200 characters, maybe 1280 given it's a multiple of 32.

so me playing with around 200 mods, 30 or so of those being map mods could cause my private serrver that i host to just straight up not load at all ever?
