How does timescale work with the survival and skill gain mechanics?
I noticed you can set the passage of time to real time.

Does this mean I will get hungry and learn skills in real time?

Or will it mean that after 24 hours playing the game, my character would have had 200k worth of calories to stay alive that day and become a master of multiple arts literally overnight?

So how it works is that timed actions, things like reading and sleeping, will take longer to complete. Your skills however will still level at the same rate as they are based solely on XP gains. That said though, I don't recommend real time. It does make everything much easier as you have so much time to loot, build etc. that it becomes just too easy. If you feel like the default hour isn't enough, then I would recommend not using anything over the 2 hour days.

Edit: I forgot to mention that thirst and hunger do also drain more slowly on real time as well. So you won't/shouldn't have to eat or drink any more than you would in the default settings in the same amount of in game time.
