Realistic World Setting / "The Walking Dead" style
Help with the sandbox settings please. I want to play for a long time with an emphasis on stealth, with zombie spawning turned off, but that initially they were a lot, but not so that they were literally in every cell, I need at least some space for quiet movement and thoughtful play.

I think if you start with something like 1.0 overall and initial zombie population, that should be relatively OK. (Or whatever Apocalypse uses.) You might want to change the population-over-time setting so it doesn't grow. There's also options to make the virus act like The Walking Dead - everyone's infected, but no fatality from the virus itself.

I tried to make it by myself. So far my settings look like this:
Zombie Lore:
Fast Shamblers with random strength and random toughness
Transmission: Blood+Saliva with infection mortality 1-2 weeks
Zombies with basic navigation, short memory, poor sight and normal hearing.
Advanced zombie options:
Population 2.5
Population start 2.5
Population peak 2.5
Peak day 1
Respawn hours 0
Respawn unseen hours 0
Respawn Multiplier 0
Redistribute hours 0
Follow sound distance 300
Rally group size 20
Rally travel distance 20
Rally group separation 15
Rally group radius 3
But ran into a problem that on the second day there are very few single zombies, mostly groups of 8-15 zombies roaming the city

The population system is kinda hard to understand. I dont want to explain all again, just look at reddit or something. TLDR: spawn in your world somewhere and wait the first day. then respawn in the town you actually want to play in, and the zombie pop bug should be evaded (apart from the inital spawn tile)

I'm kinda experimenting too and you mixed up a little bit bro. Thoe's are my sttings and im think im close if i can said that :)

Population:

Zombi count: High
Zombi distribution: Urban Focused


Zombie Lore:

Speed: Shamblers
Strenght: Normal*
Toughness: Normal*
Transmission: Blood + Silvia*
Infection time: 2-3 days
Cognition: Basic navigation
Crawl under: Sometimes*
Memory: None
Decomposition: Slows + Weakenes
Sigh and Hearing: Normal
all rest check boxes on
day and night active both. from some reason if you chose one of both they are not intresting in attacking you XD

Advence zombie options:

Population multiplier: 2.0 - 3.0*
Population start multiplier: 0.6 - 0.7
population peak multiplier: 1.5 - 2.0
Population peak day: 56 (its up too you but as longer day you pick as more time you will have :)
Respawn hrs: 72
Respawn unseen hrs: 16
Respawn multiplier: 0.1 - 0.2 (even 0.3 up too you)
Redistribute hrs: 1.0 (i just find out that i can change it for 0.1 so they kinda never stop? SIC :D)
Fallow sound distance: 300*
Really group size: 0*

Like I've said before I'm aiming in thoe's TWD settings too. Thoe's * are im still not sure and checking them like this transmition, in TWD world everyone are infected so. Rest of settings are like in survival but its up too you how difficult your game wanted too be :D
