How do you escape zombies ?

It literally feels like 95% of my time is running away from zombies. You try to break line of sight only to end up in ANOTHER pack of zombies that lock onto you like millitary trained snipers ?

How do half brain dead corpses manage to have such a killer instinct of tracking abilities ?

Yea the zombie count is too much compared to build 40, lowering zombie population in settings fixed it for me and made the game more enjoyable.

Their pathfinding is very bad, all you need to do is break line of sight and be quiet.

- Crouch run around the edges of buildings. This will break line of sight and once you get far enough they will not hear you.

- Run into a little forest then crouch run in a wide U shape. The zombies will keep walking into the woods thinking you are in there while you exit the woods a little bit away free to loot. Watch some of MrAtomicDucks videos he does this stat a lot.

- Use windows and door to your advantage. Crouch run through a house you know is unlocked in through the front door shut it behind you and and out the back. They will want to break through the front door rather than pathing around.

- Always crouch run, rather than standing running, it makes you less visible and quieter helping you get away easier.

I literally can not do any of that. Whenever I do one of those points you mentioned I'm always guranteed to aggro a new pack of zombies.. either zombie detection is busted or zombie population count.

I'm not sure which but I'm spending most of my time either trying to lose or avoid zombies..

New players and new characters should stay away from towns, the countryside has lot less zombies and plenty of loots. And find yourself a vehicle as early as possible.
