Is it worth it for playing solo ?

Any human npcs in the world like in state of decay 2 ? Is there an end goal or are you just just surviving until you mess up and die ? This game looks interesting since it has a workshop.

No npc for now, playing solo mean no support, its hard, depends on ur sandbox options, better find friend its easier and interesting to play

No NPC's , but yes its definitely worth buying for solo play. I'm a completely anti-social player and only ever buy games for solo. I've put over 50 solo hours into PZ in the last month; its very challenging and at times can seem a little unbalanced, but definitely the best proper 'realistic' zombie survival game to play alone. Its much harder than state of decay, but also much better imo. For the price its currently going for, if you're even considering it then I'd say give it a shot.

There's not an end goal that I'm aware of, but if you play it for more than a few hours, you'll quickly realise that you dont need one. 51 hours in and my only goal is to beat my current record of simply surviving longer than 2.5 weeks xD

Over 1,000 hrs and multiplayer was just added 2 weeks ago...if you like survival, testing yourself or zombies...you'll love this one! No npc's yet, but imagine waking up tomorrow and the city you live in is gone, the dead walk and you are the only survivor....how will you die?

Also prepare to maybe lost saves cuz devs update makes past world saves not working correctly with new updates, sometimes it's random

the mod is still in alpha but it's actually playable and pretty good

Okay but u know whole PZ community asked about MP, don't talk about solo players, but MP is much interesting

Playing solo is great. You do what you want at your own pace, can pause or fast forward time as you wish. Set up your perfect survival base situation. I especially recommend playing solo if you have to step away from the game intermittently for brief periods of time.

Multiplayer is good for a laugh, since inevitably someone is gonna be a dingus and mess up. Also great for bigger Projects, but real longterm play is almost always done in Singleplayer - least for me.

As for a Goal, you set your own goal pretty much, depends on how well you know the game i think. In the beginning i didn't really know what to do past the first Month or so either, but after learning more and more about certain things, downloading more mods and generally surviving way longer than i thought i now usually got more Ideas for projects than i got IRL time to do them.

Yeah, but MP has literally already been in for years. So I highly doubt that MP alone was responsible for the uptick. There are a lot of people who don't play the beta branch for many reasons.

MP was without anims, and all other new content, cuz old version without anims after u play IWBUMS and recover to old versions feels like empty game

You can either play with local split screen with two controllers or copy your existing save file to a multiplayer server.

where can i find the file? There's this 1 mod I want to play with: "OP Ass Traits" and it will only activate in a solo game for some reason

It's in C:/users/your user/Zomboid/Saves on default.

And if the mod isn't compatible for multiplayer then you can only play using local split screen.
