Queasy/Nauseous
So I've managed to progress pretty far in Survivor, I have a house nearly fully fortified with metal sheets and stockpiled a lot of guns, ammo, meds, food etc. My main problem I'm having is the Queasy moodle. I'm aware that being bitten/infected, unpleasantly hot, and needing to "Rest" are the causes (there could be more i dont know of). At the moment I have 0 clothes on, no injuries anymore at all and I've just rested/slept but still nauseous.

I guess my questions are 1. Is it possible to get rid of nausea at all or is the character doomed? 2. What's the best method for removing Queasy/Nausea (If possible)

So being unpleasantly hot, not resting etc do not cause the queasy moodle?

Edit: So would taking antibiotics help at all in the early stages? I know it says right on it that it does not prevent zombification but does it help taking in the queasy stage?

Queasy is a bit weird. It's mostly food poisoning (drinking tainted water, drinking bleach, eating poisoned berries, eating uncooked food) and then Zombie infection and flies of decomposing bodies threwn into the mix. For some reason not even getting a cold gives you queasy / sickness.

If queasy is based on food poisoning, lemon grass from foraging can reduce it by some amount, which might or might not be enough to get rid of the moodle.

Antibiotics are pretty much pointless imho, as wound infections are merely a nuisance.

Is there bodies laying around? They can get you sick as they decompose

Wow. That makes so much sense... I just offed my character too after 6 days too cause I figured he was too far gone (which he probably was anyways)

You can slow the rate at which you turn down somewhat through medication and lots of food and rest, but if you're infected there is no stopping it at any point. Once you're infected, you're infected, and sooner or later you'll die from it (based on game settings). You can be queasy from a lot of things though, generally related to bad food, normal infections, or being around too many dead bodies for too long. I'm unsure the affect antibiotics would have on those in game but I assume they'd help, though the best thing you can do is just avoid the things that cause it in the first place. Find a dumpster and start throwing bodies in and use the option to delete the contents of the dumpster to get rid of the bodies for example. Or at least just move them away from where you'll be walking.

My bet is it's all the dead zombie bodies. I'd recommend digging graves (you can fit five per hole), or drag them into a fire and light them on fire.

I dont ever eat anything uncooked or tainted or anything like that. I make sure to eat only fresh foods and I always drink from the sink (I havent made it far enough yet for the water to be cut off). I also have the Hearty appetite and High Thirst traits on, as far I know its not the food but I think it was the decomposing bodies.

Overall from my experience I think Queasy is a bit too easy to obtain imo, perhaps my traits are making it like that but I personally dont think so, As I said i'm running High Thirst, Hearty Appetite and Unlucky for my negative traits.

So i moved all the dead bodies outside of the house that I set up base at, Is that enough or do they need to be moved farther away? (I dont have a shovel at my base or anywhere in any of the houses surrounding it)

How many bodies were in the house? Did you move them away from where you'll be walking to enter/exit your house? Personally I've yet to have my character get queasy from anything but zombification and I often have up to a dozen bodies right outside my house, but I walk past them quickly and shut the door so I'm only exposed for short periods of time. As long as there aren't too many then you could do the same without any real issues, but if there are a lot of them right in your path or in a place where you'll be exposed to them for more than very short durations then they might be a problem. If they're out of sight and you never walk by them then they won't be an issue at all.

I had about 5 bodies in the house at the time when I first made this thread and moved them out to the backyard where I wont be walking then I put all my stuff away and killed myself. Luckily my base is the center of all the spawn points for my character

Yeah I'm not sure if 5 would have been enough to have caused that as I haven't exposed myself to it. Either way with them out of the house your next character definitely won't have to worry about that at least. lol. It was probably the bodies that were causing it, but I do believe your wounds can heal and still be infected and dying so just because they were healed doesn't mean that wouldn't have killed you one way or another. Hopefully this next character has better luck!

I just looked it up, the flies actually add to the food poisoning, so lemon grass would work, too.

Regarding the corpses, the game looks how many corpses near you have flies and if there are more than 5 corpses, your sickness increases. I think we can assume that if you don't hear flies, the game will not use them to cause sickness.

I've been living longer and longer with each character, I've just about looted half of Muldraugh and I'm working on getting a car to move onto the next town. Thanks for the replies man, very much appreciated good luck to you!

Gazolina gazolina burn them all, one fuel can, one match vs a pile of dead corpses !
