Making a character
Hello guys! I'm new to the game and I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand, I want to make myself a char, a thief, and I want to focus on mechanics and combat, since I'll be playing with friends and want to go outside take vehicles, repair them and tune them, any advice? Or I could get a combat char and just take vehicles with another vehicle, idk, any suggestions? Ty (we will be playing in our own server with some custom mods)

take burglar profession it lets you hotwire chars as for a build thats ok for a new player regarding what you specifically want to do.

Profession
Burgler (hotwire cars by sitting in the front seat of a car then pressing v and selecting the option, also burgler lets you open house windows easier and such.

positives
dexterous ( just really nice to have for every character great for inventory management and lugging heavy stuff from inventory to inventory)
amateur mechanic (only because you want it specifically for this character will give your character the knowledge to repair cars somewhat)
lucky (will help you find car parts and screwdrivers/smokes and good loot in general, make sure in multiplayer you loot the corpses or cupboards/containers first or your lucky trait won't work.

negatives

underweight (just eat enough food per day until you gain weight then this trait is free points)
you can see weight in ur character tab by pressing the heart icon, if theres an up arrow next to your KG then you will gain 1 kg so basically just binge junk foods.

weak stomach ( just don't eat rotten food or raw food.

pacifist ( only decreases weapon xp gains and not even by enough to matter.)

smoker (cigs are plentiful on corpses and in general with the lucky trait so just grab cigs and a lighter/ matches and its free points.

I could go alot harder but im trying to keep that minimal since you're rather new im sure this should be fine, the more you play and the better you become the more risky traits you should take.
