Admin UI?

Hey Survivors,

I just set up a server on 41 mp and I couldn't find the admin console I used to use. If I remember correctly there used to be this window that allowed you basically to switch between survival and creative mode that added options in the right click context menu that allowed you to repair car parts for example and move super fast.

I'm sorry I can't be clearer it was so long ago I barely remember what it looked like.

If anyone remembers it or even knows what I'm talking about, could you tell me what happened to it or how to get it back?

"/setaccesslevel username admin" will provide admin rights.

You'll need admin account password or server console access if its dedicated.
If co-op hosting I think you just type the command with your name?

There should be a menu button on the left hand side of the screen (No longer in the pause menu)

Yes ! The user panel ! It's coming back now, kinda. I remember it including an button that grants creative mode powers of some sort though. Only buttons I have are create faction, tickets and see server options. Whatever happened to those? Do I have to activate god mode in the players window in the pause menu?

I think I already have admin rights since I created the server.

If you don't have the "admin" button below "user" panel then you're not an admin. Try the "/setaccesslevel" command, and see if it appears. (Possibly relogin required)

There are two buttons "user" and "admin" in that location.

Yeah I tried it right after you both suggested it and you're right, sorry. I seem to remember there was a simple button to activate admin mode, you didn't have to type in a command. Or perhaps I'm wrong, it was so long ago, I don't remember.

No need to be sorry, Glad you got it working :) Previously there was a menu button on pause menu. Unsure how it worked in co-op though, I've always been using dedicated servers.

Yes exactly, it felt more... user-friendly? Now this feels janky at best I can't seem to turn off admin powers, even if I toggle the button off in the admin panel or if I click OK in the screen bottom window that says "you currrently have admin powers. Click here to become a survivor again"

EDIT : the enable admin powers/disable admin powers isn't working it seems. I have to untick all powers in "edit your admin powers" screen to turn them off

You could use the admin panel to edit the database. Go to the whitelist section, find your name, and click it, click the "modify" button, in the spot it says "admin" leave it blank, and click update, and close the menu. That'll remove admin powers. (going off memory, not sure if this is the exact way based on memory)

Hopefully this can help fix the issue?

Edit* You edited first, Yes, you must untick each powers. if you have any power activated it will say "ADMIN" in your name.

Alright ! You've been super helpful, thanks a lot !

I just hope they fix that button in the near-ish future so we can actually toggle the powers on and off as it's meant to be.

How'd you get it to work? I've done /setaccesslevel and it tells me I'm an admin, but the button on the left side of the screen doesn't appear. I've relogged multiple times.

hmm let's see. We're talking about a button that appears under the user panel which is also under the map, investigate area, move furniture buttons in the top left corner of your screen.

Hey, I did all this but I have no admin panel anywhere on my screen or the ESC menue!
