Sitting on a chair?

Hello i just got the game and i am excited, it plays amazing, can i ask is there a way to sit on chairs or lay on beds?Is there a mod for that or is it available on stock and i am just missing the option?

Thank you so much, it works perfectly as far i can tell, i had to start a new save though.
Can i ask if you have some time, any other mod suggestions before i start my main save?

Just for the record, that mod only allows you to sit on furniture that are facing in certain directions and not everything.

Even if i can sit at some its perfectly fine with me....its not a big of a deal but sitting on the ground next to a comfy chair felt so wrong :)

Oh, sorry, I just wanted to mention this is a planned vanilla feature too in the future. These are the animations we've made for 'em. Since chairs are 2D and players are 3D it's a bit more work to get them right at every angle.

Thats awesome to hear, thank you for clarifying that, i am glad this mod exists and even more glad you have already made the animations, i am guessing it would be a daring task to create that mod without them.

Awesome, that's currently the biggest immersion breaker for me - having to sit down in front of the TV instead of rest in the perfectly good chair right behind me ;)

Has someone figured out the logic of where you can sit on a chair and where you can't? I mean, I have a chair in my cabin next to a television, facing the same direction as the tv, and I can sit there. But it seemed like I wasn't getting life & living xp when sitting on that position (can't see the tv from there, apparently). So, then I moved the chair to the opposite wall, now facing towards the television - and surprisingly, I cannot sit on it no matter where I try to click.

It's kind of annoying, to be honest. If you know the "mechanics" of this, please let me know! :)

For now you can only sit on chairs that are facing East or South.

You hear the tv no matter where you sit as long as you're in the same room.

This is a small thing that really hurts the immersion in the game, and making a singleton for a whole animation engine would be dumb so this problem is most likely hardcoded.

So through code reformatting this might be achieved even in vanilla, but do remember that this is a small team. They dont want to do half-measures since ppl will ♥♥♥♥ on them for that - thus they are not willing to make animations that the mod makers can do within the code they have at the moment.
