silencer mod for build 41

does anyone know any working silencer mod for build 41 that doesn't add extra weapons or items?

i bet you're one of those people who enjoys the sound of their voice. if you had at least one semi working braincell you could have deducted from my op that i already tried using some mods. i was hoping someone had a working mod. even the silencer in brittas weapons pack is broken.

b41 weapons mod seems to work. Crafted can only reduces the sound by 40%. I also found factory made cans, but haven't used them yet. Both for 45 and 9.

There is a guy in the comments saying it doesn't work, but IMO it does.

Apparently all the silencer mods are broken. According to various comments in said mods.

Yeah he likes hearing his own voice. Did the same to me aswell.

I'm using the silencer/suppressor mod for build 41 by nolanritchie and Brita's weapon pack. The sound seems to be broken but the zombie's react as though it is in fact silenced. I get a sound that resembles a silenced weapon when firing in single mode but it is louder than I think it should be.

+1 I'm using suppressors included with Brita's without issues. What makes you say they aren't working. FYI suppressors in real life go "PFFFFT" and not "pew", and they're still pretty loud.

I just tested "b41 weapons mod" with eris minimap and 9mm can on a pistol.

you can do it too. eris minimap has mode were you can track all the zombies. Spawn a M9 and a 9mm suppressor. Zoom out and see all the zeds around you. Back up your save.

Fire your pistol with a can attached and see how many zeds have been activated. Reload your save and now fire it without a can installed. And see how many more started to move.

Forgot to add. Suppressors do work in b41 weapon mod.

There is a difference in the sound propagation with and without the can. The default suppression is pretty low though to simulate non-subsonic ammunition. There is an "easy mode" variant of the mod with 80% sound reduction.

Silencer 50% 45% 40%
Flashlight 40% 35% 30%
Bottle 30% 25% 20%

Easy Mode

9mm .45 ACP Rifles
Silencer 80% 75% 70%
Flashlight 60% 55% 50%
Bottle 50% 45% 40%

I use a nolanritchie silencer. It works, I just had to fix the distribution.
