Really, for a bulletproof vest

!00% to stop a bullet
55% for scratch
only 30% for a bite?

It's a bulletproof vest, not a stabproof vest.

Maybe they have long, armor-piercing fangs.

do you know what bulletproof vests look like ?

they indeed cover the front and the back of the torso against bullet, they don't fully cover the sides and leave the parts most likely to be bitten barely/totally uncovered

you get shot at from the front ? the vest covers your vitals

something try to bit you ? it won't aim your stomach, but rather your shoulders which are not armored at all

I'm somewhat surprised that people have problem with these vests, but not with the fact that somehow squishy zombies made of rotten meat and bones can dismantle player-built metal walls like it's nothing.

Except in other games when i have been scratched, the graphics have shown the damage to the chest and the zooming in the armour in that area is damaged, when it was not beforehand.

As to your question, yes and kevlar is quite tough(even without ceramic or steel plates), probably even to bite through, definitely damned hard to rip.

Yeah but bro it says 100% protection against bullets. Implying that you have 100% coverage against munitions, i.e. it covers your whole torso. Obviously if someone shoots you in the shoulders in this scenario then you will be boned as well and yet the vest is acting like it covers those too. I have seen a rash of people trying to headcanon this game by comparing it to reality lately and it's really just a trap because the game, while very detailed, is actually nowhere near reality and that's the problem that OP has with the vest.

The vests in this game are old Vietnam era ♥♥♥♥ vests. They shouldn't be able to stop rifle rounds, just 45acp and maybe shotguns. (mm, revolver rounds, and any rifle would get through the vest easily. They are, however, really thick and cumbersome, and should 100% stop bites and scratches on the areas they cover. While they can stop shrapnel, an actual knife would be a different story. Ironically the Marines had better flack vests in the Korean war. The M-1951 was lighter, less cumbersome, and stopped most pistol caliber rounds, even out of longer barrels, but still didn't stop rifle rounds. Only Army Rangers had actual rifle rated armor in the early 90s.
