Alarm watch questions?
I was playing the game and I got a watch that had the alarm go off while I was wearing it luckily there were no zombies around at the time I did not set the alarm myself. I was wondering if for all digital watches on zombies could have the chance to have the alarms already set for themselves and If I should check them each time I see them to shut them off. I was also wondering if you could use a watch set it for a certain time and then drop it off someplace to lead a group of zombies away?

some watches are like that they are automaticly alarmed if you want to use them you better close their alarms

and yes you can lead the horde away by dropping alarmed clocks but it wont attract the zombies much(attract as well as shout(q) distance or slightly more)

note=i cant speak english very much so if you dont understrand i can rewrite

I haven't 100% confirmed this, but you can pick up any amount of alarmed watches and none will go off unless the alarm icon in the top right near the time is on. This appears to be some sort of global setting, so if you click the icon to turn it on then every single alarm will go off when it is time.

Yes, not just watches on zombies but alarm clocks inside houses as well.
And yes, alarm clocks and watches with alarm set can trigger a group of zombies away.
If you have mechanical skills and the crafting recipe, you will be able to craft Noise Maker with Remote Trigger/Timer/Motion Sensor later on as well. Perfect decoy when you're heading into Louisville!

Just as a side note, you can check whether an alarm is set by just mousing over the watch (or clock) in the inventory. The little information popup will say if there's one set. It's worth taking the split second to look when picking up watches.

Thank you all for the information this helps a lot now I just have to hope watch alarms are one of the last things to worry about.

Is there a way to change setting alarms form 24 hour to 12 hour. I know you can change the time it displays in the upper right to 12 hour but setting alarms is still 24 hour

No, it doesn't work that way. Each individual watch has a chance to have an alarm set. It is not a global setting.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
