Now, if you do 0,75 (from pacifist) x1,3 (from fast learner), the result is 0,975, which means you'll get xp a bit slower than if you had none of these traits (only for weapons though, so I would say it's still a very good trade off).
It appears the percent adjustmets and additive, not multiplicative. So using both traits actually results in a slightly higher XP rate for melee when having both Fast Learner and Pacifist over having neither, rather than a slightly slower XP gain for melee. So, effectively, taking both is a 2 point cost for increased XP on everything, just a smaller increase for melee/aiming and the +30% for all other skills.
