Exercise fatigue on MP servers bugged?
Once you get this from exercising, or from carrying a heavy load for to long it seems impossible to get rid of. I don't mean the basic fatigue that can be removed from just sitting down, but this specific debuf that so far has lasted for many in game days for us.

It seems not being able to rest, or sleep due to the Hypothermia bug are the problem as possible the only way to remove it.

We're playing on a Vanilla server, in real time.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You will just have to wait it out and being on a real time server isn't doing you any favors in that area.

How long the wait is will depend on how much you exercised. Given that you're on a real time server, If you did one set of exericises, It'd be about one real time hour of playing before the debuffs wear off.. If you had spammed exercises over and over and over again since you can easily do so numerous times before the 12 hour mark on a real time server, then...well... Let's just say you'll be waiting as much as one or more days of real time for the recovery. And in pure agony and heavily debuffed in combat/etc for that time.

This. Could be a few hours or more. With standard settings it can take several in game hours (about 4 or 5 in my experience, but I usually sleep through the pain phase and in standard settings you can't do as many exercises) to go away, so it would take at least that much time in real time.

i was doing some testing about broken legs with this in mind, apparently it takes a little over 2 in game days to heal a fracture, regardless of the wound severity setting, and its based on in game days not just time passed, so the faster the days the faster you heal, for this reason i dont really think going above 4 hour days is viable for multiplayer because you could end up spending entire play sessions wounded and unable to really do anything fun

bugger, the defult time is 1 hour to 1 day? So i might be like this for 4 actual days? Is there a way to mod it out? Playing real time is great for MP in a lot of ways, just not for this mechanic.

i agree with your sentiment, i dont like how having longer days makes wounds take insanely long to heal, i dont like being rushed in a single hour to complete a days worth of tasks so i really hope they just add a seperate multiplier for wound healing speed(in my case im trying to host a coop server for me and my friends but i dont want to get too far ahead of them before they hop in, so i have set the days to be longer but at the cost of me having to deal with a broken leg for 8 whole real hours of gameplay... so im basically reduced to hiding out from small groups of zombies until im healed, and god forbid i die for some reason)

yup you can speed up reading it seems for real time, but thats abbout it. cooking takes an age for instance. but the 24hour pace is much better suited to people who won't be playing constantly.

Personally I think that real time days ends up making the game super easy in a lot of ways and just annoying in every other way. It makes reading, cooking, healing, sleeping and many other timed actions take an annoying amount of time to complete.

is healing tied to world time or character time? As the server is persistant even if no ones on it. @Death i no what you mean, for the good there's a lot of bad, an easy fix though if they give more control over server settings.

not sure actually thats something to test out i guess, i enjoy being able to speed up reading, i literally set it to .1 so you read fast as hell even with slow reader, because lets be honest no one wants to spend like 5 minutes reading a book that doesnt really impact the gameplay that much(i use about 5x xp as well because no one should have to disassemble 500 beds to build some stairs lol)they should also add reruns of the tv shows so you dont have to sit in front of your tv for the first week just so you dont miss out on the free xp for skills that arent really needed till the late game anyway, i cant imagine a real time 1x server... that would be hell

Unless I'm mistaken, all episodes are available on VHS and you can reliably find them at the several video stores.

Where do you adjust the time scale for the server? I didn't see that option in the hosting list.

When I'm single player setting the speed to match real time is cool. Or at least it was until a helicopter showed up and I had to kill 3000 zombies with it still not going away... To this day I'm not sure if it was a bug or just the game being even more evil than usual. Had the setting for zombie population to only one notch above normal, was fighting with melee weapons only, and on a road in a forest away from the city with supposedly the bulk of zombies in urban areas. Ultimately gave up in frustration.
