To have several cooking pots and to put them all at once to boil seems the best we can do for now.
Otherwise, you're stuck using multiple saucepan/cooking pots at a time to boil it (it's not that bad when you boil them in batches, then drop them outside on the ground to auto-refill when it rains).
It got fixed back, as it was a super popular feature, and there's no real end-game when it comes to plumbing atm. I assume future updates will expand on water filtration and take it back out, however...
But if you go to the Louisville Checkpoint Refugee Camp and empty the Metal Barrels they can hold 800 units of water
how do you empty one of the metal barrels? i see them around but havent figured out how to use them. also, are you able to put it outside and have it fill with water like other containers do?
The ones in the Camp are filled with logs when you find them. Right click on them and select Metal Barrel. You will then get the option to empty. Once emptied of Logs it will start collecting rainwater
Latest patch, plumbing is still fine. I have two barrels on the roof of Cortman medical, one for cooking and one for washing.
