small shack just for generator?

i was thinking if it was a good idea to build a 2x2 shack just outside my house to place the generator and keep it from the rain, despite the fact that theres never EVER any zombie around, i was thinking this would keep the noise to a min.

Generators iirc, don't actually take effect from the environment.
You'll smoke yourself out like that nonetheless, containing it into a building.

Yeah, you don't really need to worry.

Generator's have a fairly small sound radius - generally any zombie that can hear the genny can likely hear your base anyway.

The building won't prevent it deteriorating with use, and they're easy to repair when they do break down too. Like the other guy said, you'll just smoke yourself out whenever you need to add fuel to it.

As long as there is no roof it won't smoke you out. I usually put my generator on the second floor in a small addon room that I build.
