The mysterious granola bar
...does it ever perish? Every granola bar I found so far has the "fresh" status, which would imply that it will become stale/rotten at some point. But I never actually found a stale/rotten granola bar.

On another note, I think the "stale" status should be visible, just put it behind the name of the food so we know it is stale food and not food that can never perish.

For example:
If I have a jar of mayonaise that has become stale, it should be called "Mayonaise (Stale)" and not just "Mayonaise", as it is right now. Because other food items, like Ketchup, never expire and are always named "Ketchup" , not "Ketchup (Fresh)"
So both food items do not have a "label" put after their name, but one of them is perfectly fine and the other one is stale.
This could be confusing for new players.

To put it simply, yes.
I don't know how long it takes, I'd imagine a long time. But they have rotten based on my experience with a MP server that already had a year pass in-game

Thank you! Didn't know such a mod existed.
But it is not that I urgently need a mod like this - I mostly know what perishes and what does not - but new players most likely won't , and therefore this should be in the base game
