FPS loss and stuttering during modded playthrough
Added more mods to my playlist a week ago before being away, now that I can play I'm having an issue with FPS/stuttering since, especially when hitting zombies it stutters each time. Old modlist didn't share this problem and I know it's not an issue with RAM or PC specs so I'm guessing it's a mod but for the life of me I can't find which one/s.

If someone can tell me how, I can post the modlist.

You wrote your problem in your first sentence "Added more mods"

I have 24 mod, all of them are basically QOL ones, yet the game lags and 100% my CPU.

Try to lower your mod list and de-activate/activate them one by one to see which one is hogging your FPS

I was running 60 mods before adding more, ranging from all sorts to maps, vehicles and items which ran smoothly with no issues.

It's never so much the amount of mods active but how they mingle with each other, but I'll do some shifting.
I’ve been having the same problem, I think I’ve narrowed it down to “Crashed Cars”, more testing required…
Will report findings…
Has anyone else done testing to deduce what mods cause FPS loss?

Haven't tested it yet but in my case I think my stuttering may be from Shark's military and police conflicting with Authentic Z as it's mainly when killing zombies does it lag for me.

no clue if its related, but after deintalling authentic z (a shame to do that though) i could drive along a huge building block in luisville without the game booting my ass out.... someone said its not ram. but... after going on with other indie games again lately i figured that even "pixel" styled games can use up to 10-12 gig ram WITH EASE...

so, just dont discard that as a reason for the stutter =).

Tested sharks and Z with other safe mods, no issues. Nothing stands out that would be particularly draining, however, when I use Chloe Price outfit mod the stuttering creeps in. I took off the outfit and no stuttering.

Hmmm 🤔… Could you share your mod list? I’ve done some more testing, I’m wondering if FPS loss is related more with mod conflict than a specific mod causing the issue… 🤔

Afraid I won't be making a collection, just enable which mods you wish. Only pointers I can give is make sure the mods are updated and try not to have too many maps, those were what was giving me stuttering and fps loss.
