If they're in a bag your character will try to transfer them to your main inventory and if they can't it won't do the action
Yep, that works. You don't need to hold them all. Just have them nearby on the ground, but you do need the entire full set.
yes it works as long as its within the vicinity even if it was in your truck as long as the container is reachable as i do the exact same with a place that has a cooker and a fridge right next to each other the i put all the cooking stuff in the cupboard next to it and because all 3 are within reach i can make so many different kinds of foods and add spices ect
