Failed to download map from server

I've been getting this issue for a while now, and what's puzzling to me is that my internet connection right now isn't good, it should be good enough to play project zomboid. I have actually no idea what to do about this anymore, Does project zomboid just not work with some internet types?

I did try this, at least 4 times by now and it never worked. I do appreciate an actual response though instead of just “I’m having the same issue”

Its the only fix I know for it currently, this issue will be looked into / fixed in the next update by removing the timeout of downloading the map.

A quick question so I don't get my hopes up, how do you know it's going to get patched next update?

Because I am the Tech Support for TIS and I have some info on which issues are being worked on and keep track of that, and I know that this issue was specifically looked into and the timer for it removed.

Got you, did you say this most recent update was supposed to get rid of it? Because I still have that issue. Unless it wasn’t an update and I was tweaking

The last update was months ago, I am not sure of what "recent update" you are talking about since the update hasn't been done yet.

Yeah you’re right I think it was a mod update that just happened automatically. I appreciate the support though friend, that puts me at ease knowing it’ll be fixed soon

I think this is becaouse the server has to manually turn it off?

Can you share your game logs so I can check the error you are getting exactly? Do this after you see the error on the server again.
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid
Open the console.txt
Copy everything from there to https://pastebin.com/
Click “Create a new paste”
