Car alarms

I had the car alarms frequency on never and still set off two alarms. Am I just insanely unlucky or is this supposed to be a thing.

I turn car alarm frequency to never also and have never had one go off. I don't think it is supposed to be a thing so it must be some other problem. Try verifying the game files first, that is the easiest fix for problems so it is always worth trying, could also be a mod possibly causing it, although it's hard to check that for a bug that only pops up rarely.

You must be insanely unlucky because I always play with car alarms on rare and over 1,000 hours of game time i have yet to experience a single car alarm.

Same here, I'm on normal and in under 200 hours I've never set one off

Are the chances for car alarms maybe mixed up?

I have the server setting on never. So that can't be it as I've already checked it.
I also only have around 36 or so hours in the game.
