Unable to connect to own server
Hello, I've been troubleshooting this for a few days and I can't figure it out, my logs: logs [pastebin.com] I've made sure I have port forwarding on windows, both udp and tcp, port forwarding on my modem[imgur.com] as well , no double NAT present on my router, what else can I do? ports seem to be still blocked and the server doesnt come up on the list inside pz and I cant login manually either.
Worth mentioning that I've also tried logging in with private ip 192.168.15.7 and I get p2p error

Any help is welcome

Thank you

Do you have any antivirus software or security program that might block connections?

no software or security program

Have you tried connecting to any public servers or is it just your local one that you cannot connect to?
Additionally, can you share your "servertest" configuration file found in the Zomboid/Server folder?

I am able to join public servers, only locally i cannot
I can "see" my server with my local IP, but not with the public one

Thank you so much for trying to help

Generally you cannot see your own PC through your own public IP, though you should still be able to connect locally. From what I can see for some reason you logs show that it opens the "8767" port twice, but it doesnt open the 8766 port, which is very important as well, Can you try opening the 16261 and 8766 ports manually in your router and firewall? After that disable UPnp in your router as well to not cause any problems with that.

UPnP unable to be disabled on router, router is provider locked, although ports are open, restarted server, restarted PZ, issue remained

Very unusual, as far as I can tell everything seems to be open just fine. Does the server get any log from you trying to connect to it or does it just instantly fail?
Additionally, can you try running both the client and server in nosteam mode? This is to test whether Steam would be the main issue.

Go to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -nosteam > Start the game

Do the same thing for the dedicated server and then connect.

i dont get logs from trying to connect, tried the no steam option, didnt work

In that case can you try hosting the server from the in game "Host" menu? Try both Steam and NoSteam

Edit: It also seems like you are trying to connect to the wrong local IP. In one of your screenshots you had the IP 192.168.16.7 but in your Project Zomboid favorites you have 192.168.15.7 , which would be the wrong IP.

Hosting ingame works no problem in both instances, the issue arrises from the standalone.
From the edit, yea i noticed that error before, the issue remains server appears online on my favorites, p2p connection error comes after trying to connect

I would recommend installing the dedicated server through SteamCMD in that case:

Have you tried joining with IP :127.0.0.1 or LocalHost (Don't remember if it was one word or two but try the numbers first it's the same thing)

And as other have said, server and client need to be in the same mode, I.E. NoSteam Client with NoSteam Server and visa versa.
Worst Case Try ZeroTier, it works better in my experience than Hamachi, it bypasses all port forwarding and mostly just the windows firewall deal, then use the Zerotier assigned IP.

Edit:Also forgot to say to try deleting all related firewall exception and try again and make sure they are set for both home/other networks, locally your router shouldn't be blocking you but the 127.0.0.1 should find the server without hunting for it by checking online.

bump. same problem here, someone found a solution?

Able to play hosting from game, but same problem with dedicated server, i can list it using localhost ip but not able to connect.
Had this problem. Fix was putting the local IP in the External IP Box. I used Localhost in the external IP box but I imagine 127.0.0.1 would work too.
