My kingdom for a chipped stone!
Are these things legendary loot? I have foraged all over the place and have yet to find one in like an in-game week. Roads. Driveways. Forests. Parks. Roadsides. Even inside at this point. I've only found 1, and that was in a different save.

It's been confirmed that Foraging will get a balance pass eventually. Right now, this is basically the first draft for the new system. They'll be working on improving it soon. Until then, best of luck! Those chipped stones gotta be there somewhere!

I find stones all the time.
Tree branches on the other hand seem way too rare.
Makes it difficult to craft stone axes :(
Would be nice if you could also use other wooden stuff as shaft.

Trade you? I get tree branches and twigs constantly. Even on roads.

If it's 1:1 fine by me.

For what it's worth, I usually find the most Chipped Stones in Vegetation areas, because they seem to have more Points of Interest per area than other biomes (besides Forest and Deep Forest) and in the two Forest Biomes pretty much *everything* else gets drowned out by Twigs, Tree Branches and an endless supply of Logs.

Just remove bushes, they spawn sticks about half the time, a minute or two and you should have plenty of sticks

As far as I'm aware you can't make stone axes with sticks.

Torn sheets, branches, chipped stone --> Stone Axe.

I hate to say it but you're pretty unlucky. I find quite a number of Chipped Stones casually foraging.

What I do recommend is crouch walking around and foraging in clear weather to boost your foraging chance

I have not found a single chipped stone in forests while foraging. On the other hand on gravel, sand and concreter roads every now and then i do find one. SO i would advise the OP to check at these.

I find any kind of stone all the time, are you using the foraging mechanic correctly?

I find "Stone" all the damned time. On every path and road.

I just don't find chipped stones.

I have a lovely platter of crickets, though. And randomly a fountain cup... which you can't even fill with water, so.... why?

:-P

Look in the fields.

I thought in the vanilla game you could just bash two stones to get a chipped one.
Turns out that was a mod.
