Tree's, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tree's everywhere...
I'm living on the woods by a lake, zombies ain't a problem, but those bloody tree's man...

I keep cutting them and they keep showing up clogging the entire base, is there anyway, anything at all I can put on the ground to stop them from growing?

Have you tried putting a wooden floor in?

I've had grass growing on it, I'm assuming is a matter of time till I get tree's too...

But if there is a confirmation that it doesn't grow on wood floor I'll start filling every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ access to the base with it...

rumor is: get a sack and a shovel. Take some dirt. Then add a floor. After that you may add dirt, gravel, sand, or other floor tiles.

You need to get a shovel and some (or 10+) empty sacks dig up dirt, put wooden floor on it, and put gravel or i guess dirt back on the wooden floor. Got the anwser a few days ago;)

Or you can just build the floor without digging.

I've done that, wooden floor, I already had some weeds spawning on it.

I use Cheat menu mod's delete function to quickly deforest an area, deletes twigs and other items on the ground as well. It highlights what will be deleted, be careful near walls.

I'm given to understand the way to stop plants regrowing is to first dig up the grass, then dig up the dirt, then lay down gravel, and finish by putting in wood flooring. Something along those lines.

tested from my end also, no regrowth (tree bush or grass) in the last month and a half or more (in game time)
so.
1. dig up dirt
2. place wooden floor
3. place back dirt or gravel (probably the third step is just for cosmetics, step 1 and 2 stop regrowing, but i have no tiles without the 3rd step, most are with gravel on top, some with dirt)

just adding gravel on dirt does NOT stop regrowth, just adding wood floors also does NOT stop regrowth, just dig up dirt also does NOT stop regrowth.....dig up dirt lay gravel add wood floor i dont know if it would stop plants regrowing, i think it would not, as far as i understand adding wood floor on a tile with no soil is what stops plants from growing..

as you can see from the post i linked this is an popular question and one with a huge amount of dissinformation but proven solution... so pls dont anwser if you are not sure of the anwser tnx**

I am not sure this is correct.

I have seen grass grow over my base floor that I just added floor without digging first.
I have never seen grass grow over a floor tile that i first dug up then placed the floor tile.
