Food and WInter
So last I made it to winter was a while ago. Foraging dried up, fishing could be done but areas fished didn't replenish, farming could still be done but at a very slow rate. I have never tried trapping in winter so I've no idea how that goes.
I checked the wiki and it says it's out of date.
How does food in winter go now?

I have been wondering this too. Its getting close to winter in my game and I only have so many cans... Anyone got the strat for food in winter?

Trapping should still work with the right bait, fishing can be done just move along the river and spots on lakes, also technically you can grow things like potato in the winter.

outside of that eat only when you are hungry not peckish if not extremely hungry if you just sit around your base, if you are careful you can make it

Last time I had a bug where nowhere along the river was viable after I exhausted the wrong spot. I'm talking fishing in Riverside and driving all the way down to Westpoint and it still being depleted. Was real sadge. That sort of thing still happen?

As of 41.65 I did not notice any difference whatsoever between farming in winter compared to non-winter months.

Trapping works just fine as well.

Same goes for fishing (areas replenish just fine), except the difficulty is higher - with 5+ fishing skill and live bait (worms/bugs) should be possible to fish during bonus hours.

Stock pile crickets and cockroaches and non perishables before the winter comes. Learn how to grow crop and maintain a diet on perishables before this all happens. Pretty sure a stock pile of crickets and cockroachs is bis though.
Oh! One more thing no many people know but once you hit a certain level of cooking you can add rotten ingredients into your food without it being poisonous. Hope this helps.
Also you should be level 6 fishing and 6 trapping by the time winter comes around.
