Why can't I make a stirfry?

I have a frying pan. I have some ingredients. I have a working oven... but I can't add ingredients or anything. Help?

Right click the empty frying pan with ingredients either in your inventory or in accessible inventories and select 'add ingredient' from the list of options. You cannot add frozen ingredients, or fruits to a stir fry though.

Oh that was the problem then... I was trying to add frozen peas and salmon.

If I leave them in a frig for awhile will they thaw and then be usable??

Yep! They'll thaw faster if you throw them in an oven or microwave, but they will indeed thaw over time in the fridge too.

So if you know you're gonna make some meals in the morning, throw the stuff in the fridge while you sleep and they'll be ready

Presumably you mean IRL? Cuz yes, it works. But not in game apparently.

Hey, since your food is Frozen pop them into a oven that is on. You will see the "Frozen" Bar go down, once it's unthawed that way, you can use as an ingredient. It's quicker, if you have things to cook for many days, pop them in the fridge to unthaw, by the time you want to use them you'll be able to use it in the frying pan. Also, I do recommend making stews/soups with those ingredients.

How do you make the soup with stuff? I only saw an option to make a can of soup. I had the pot and can handy.

Also... I died because I ate a berry and had no idea it was poisonous.

Use the cooking pot (not the saucepan), and fill it with water. Then you should be able to click on it and add things to make a stew or soup depending what you have, same as using the oan to make stir fry
