PSA: Force Steam To Update Mods
I've been seeing a lot of people commenting on mods pages about updates not being applied to their games when the mod updates on steam. There are a few ways to fix this issue, some are more consistent than others.

You can unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod, sometimes you have to launch the game after unsubscribing to make sure steam deleted the mod from your files. This method is pretty consistent though it does at times not work (that's why I suggested launching the game after unsubscribing to make sure it works right).

You can also delete the folder in your workshop directory that is for that mod. This is less consistent and you have to know what the numeric code is that mod was given (click share, it's the long number at the very end of the url). I personally wouldn't recommend this, as doing the above method should make sure the mod gets deleted.

Finally there is steams "Verify Intergrity of Game Files" option. This seems like it's only for the base games files, but once it scans those it will scan your workshop mods for that game and has so far updated mods properly every time for me. This is especially useful with longer mod lists where multiple mods may update in a span and you don't have to unsub, resub to all of them.

This is not a problem with Project Zomboid but an issue with Steams Workshop that has been present since its creation. It's become better since, but it's always had this problem.

Hopefully this can help alleviate a lot of the comments and troubleshooting issues I see on a lot of mods, complaining about updates seemingly not happening.
