Got the game, should I play build 41 beta?

I will recommend only 41, because 40 looks way too outdated.

Start in 41. Starting in and getting used to build 40 will make 41 that much harder, because 40 will teach you some bad habits that will just get you killed in build 41.

There is a lot to cover about the game. There are many threads and guides on it already. Or, do it like most of us have. Play, die, learn, repeat.

This. There is quite a bit to go over, but I will recommend that in your first few games you don't worry too much about trying to survive long term and spend your time practicing combat as it's got a bit of a learning curve.

b41 looks so much better but people are turning into zombies waiting for MP

I now have over 1200 hours in the game but, when I started, I died like in 5 minutes or less.......over and over again. I started watching veteran youtube players and it helped me enormously. It still took a lot of combat practice to become somewhat efficient but this game is not for the weak of heart lol. When it says "This is how you die", it means it. I've seen veteran players have a character last for a year and, just one mistake and they are dead. So don't be discouraged it you die. It will happen. Just shoot for extending your life longer with each new game. I started playing after the release of 41 but I've seen several play throughs of 40 and earlier. There is no comparison. Don't waste your time. Go for 41!

Damn. 1200 hours just since build 41? I've been playing since the first day it hit Steam and only have close to 700. Granted I actually play a lot of things, have a job and a family, but still. That's some serious dedication to a single game. Lol
