How to get mods to work for multiplayer?
So I have the following situation:

I have a few mods i put on workshop for me and my friends. I have the mods in a form which can be uploaded and updated to workshop, and I also subscribed to them myself.

So when I select the mods in the "steam workshop" tab in the server setting, they get automatically added in the "mods" tab as well. And if i start the server like that , the server refuses to boot up and tell me something like server has stopped launching, normal termination etc.

I found out to fix that, i need to manually remove the mods from the steam workshop tab, but leave them there in the mods tab, that seems to be the only way my server is willing to launch, but then it's like the mods aren't even there, nothing is added.

Had this issue already since the last build, and I cant exactly think of why, this issue just appeared one day and ever since I have been struggling with this.

Same happened to my buddy when i had him hosting just yesterday.

It is not really a workaround since the mods need to be in both tabs. The workshop tab downloads the mods and the Mods tab enables the mods. Meaning you have the mods downloaded but not enabled.

What mods are you trying to use exactly? Some mods are not compatible with multiplayer.

Best way to try to work around that is to start a dedicated server and try to force load the mods.

It has worked before, and it's just some additional crafting recipes for some vanilla items. Im still testing, cos there are 3 mods, apparently not everyone of them is causing issue. Need to pin down where exactly its coming from.

Are the mods properly enabled? You need to enable them in the settings in the Workshop tab, not just the Mods tab.
